Best Dessert Spots in Prague

1. Creme de la Creme

This place was our go-to place for gelato. We went there so much, I’ve lost track of how many times. Over a year later and I could still taste the creamy goodness of it.

They have many great flavors, but every time I would get two flavors put together: salted peanut and dark chocolate salted caramel. So good.

There are two locations in Prague, both of which are pretty close to old town.

2. Choco Cafe

A cafe dedicated to chocolate. It’s amazing. The main item to order there is hot chocolate. But this hot chocolate is not your ordinary packet of hot chocolate powder stirred around in some milk. Nooo. They serve literal hot chocolate, as in it is melted chocolate in a cup.

You have your choice of dark, milk, or white chocolate. You then choose whether you want your hot chocolate plain or if you want to add something to it like fruit, coffee, or alcohol.

If the hot chocolate isn’t enough for you, you can also order a slice of cake, macaroons, or whatever other goodies they have. There are two Choco cafe locations and they both can get busy. Make a reservation before you go!

3. Trdelnik

This is not a specific place, but you’ll see these everywhere. Don’t order the first one you see. We made this mistake and got a not as good one the first time. Scope out some of the ones you see around then choose the one that looks best. You can tell by the looks of them, you’ll just know.

We found that the places that sell soft serve for the trdelniks rather than just scoops of ice cream were much better.

Our favorite way of doing up our trdelnik was with Nutella in it. If you’re pretty hungry though, get a trdelnik with soft serve, that thing is a meal. If you can handle it, get the ultimate trdelnik which has soft serve and Nutella in it.

4. Bakeshop

This is the best bakery we found. They have so many delicious options for things to get. This is a great place for a quick breakfast or a yummy dessert. They have plenty of different cakes, cookies, and pastries.

5. Perníkový panáček

This was the cutest little cookie shop I saw in Prague. We went to the Franz Kafka museum for a class, and this little shop was right next to it. So if you head over to the Franz Kafka museum, you’ll see it.

You can’t miss it. There is a little gingerbread man hanging out from the wall. The little store is filled with cute little gingerbread cookies and chocolates. Grab a few items to eat right away or save for later!
