10 Best Coffee Shops in Prague

Prague is full of the epitome of quintessential European coffee shops. We were always on the hunt to find the best coffee shop to study at during our time living in Prague. These ten coffee shops were our favorites to study and work at, in no particular order.

We had cappuccinos on the daily so we can basically call ourselves coffee gurus. Here are the top 10 coffee shops for studying we found in Prague:

1. La Boheme Cafe

This coffee shop has a bohemian hipster vibe to it, hence the name La Boheme. The service is great. The space has a lot of light coming in from the windows, decorative bookshelves line the walls. It’s a pretty Instagrammable coffee shop. This is a great place to get some of your work done or edit some photos from your trips!

La Boheme opens at 10 AM but they do serve breakfast. Our favorite dish was the Vegetarian options available. They have great espresso, order a classic cappuccino!

How do I get there?

By metro: Take the A-line and get off at Jiriho z Podebrad.  Walk down on Vinohradska Street until you hit Sazavka. Turn left and La Boheme will be on your left!

2. Muj Salek Kavy

Muj Salek Kavy is a cozy cafe with a bit of a grungy and urban vibe to it. They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The food they serve is healthy and trendy, ranging from light dishes to more filling dishes. We would go for breakfast and our favorite dish was the pancakes with the jam and sour cream.

This place can get crowded but the energy makes it lively. Muj Salek Kavy is located in the Karlin district which is away from the town center so you will see more of a local crowd.

If you go to Muj Salek Kavy to study, we recommend going on weekdays as you may need a reservation on the weekends.

While we do recommend studying here, it can sometimes be hard to stay focused because there are about ten cute cats roaming the room and sometimes climbing over your homework. All of the cats are really friendly. You’ll find that playing with them is a nice way to break up all your studying you have to do.

Along with having great cats, Kavarna Kocici serves a really good cake. Order a slice and a cappuccino and make some (cat) friends!
